ΑΙΩΝ

AION
The Living Legacy Collection

An extraordinary limited-edition olive oil from a single ancient olive tree in Crete, estimated to be approximately 2,500 years old. A meeting of nature, time and human craftsmanship.

ΑΙΩΝ

AION

From the Ancient Greek Αἰών, meaning an age, a lifetime, an era, or an enduring span of time.

A word that speaks of time not only as a measure of years, but as the span of existence itself.

For a collection born from an olive tree estimated to be approximately 2,500 years old, AION carries a deliberate meaning: a living legacy measured not only in years, but across generations.

AION. Time, made tangible.

An Extraordinary Creation Is Taking Form

One tree.

Twenty-five centuries.

One extraordinary creation.

At the heart of AION is an exceptional olive tree in Crete, estimated to be approximately 2,500 years old, ±100 years.

Its next harvest will become the foundation of a strictly limited collection of twenty individually numbered editions, bringing together ancient living heritage, exceptional olive oil and contemporary craftsmanship.

It has lived through approximately twenty-five centuries of changing civilisations, landscapes and generations, while continuing to produce fruit.

THE TREE

Where AION Begins.
Twenty-five centuries of life.

AION begins with a remarkable living heritage.

At its centre stands an ancient olive tree in Crete estimated to be approximately 2,500 years old, ±100 years.

Its life reaches back to a world profoundly different from our own. Generations have passed beneath its branches. Civilisations have risen and disappeared. Landscapes have changed. Yet the tree has continued to grow, endure and bear fruit.

This is not only the source of an olive oil.

It is the origin of AION.

Its identity, provenance and olive tree stewardship form the foundation upon which the collection is being created.

The tree is individually documented and its story forms the first chapter of AION’s provenance.

Its location, characteristics, history and harvest will be recorded as the collection takes shape.

THE STONE

A Piece of Crete.
A material shaped by the same land that shaped the tree.

AION is being explored through materials that carry a sense of place.

Cretan stone is one of the possibilities being considered for the final presentation, selected not only for its beauty, but for its connection to the landscape from which the collection originates.

Different stones, forms and methods of craftsmanship are being explored.

The final choice will be determined by the material that best expresses the character of AION.

If stone becomes part of the final object, its provenance and material story will become part of the collection’s documentation.

THE BARK

A Trace of the Living Tree.
A trace of the tree, carried into the object.

The tree offers more than its fruit.

Its bark carries the marks of time, natural ridges, textures, scars and patterns formed through centuries of growth.

Olive bark and wood are therefore being explored as potential elements of the AION presentation.

The intention is not to reproduce the tree, but to preserve a connection to its living origin.

Whether this material ultimately becomes part of AION will depend on the final design and the most appropriate way of incorporating it respectfully.

THE VESSEL

The oil will be precious.
The vessel must be worthy of it.

At the centre of the collection will be the vessel that carries the harvest.

Its final form has not yet been determined.

Different possibilities are being explored, from individually crafted glass to crystal and other exceptional forms of vessel-making, with one principle guiding the decision:

It must feel worthy of what it contains.

The vessel should not only protect the oil.

It should contribute to the identity of the object itself.

Its shape, material, closure, craftsmanship and relationship with the other elements of AION are all being considered.

The final vessel will be selected according to the one that best expresses the character of the collection.

THE HARVEST

One Moment in Twenty-Five Centuries.
One season captured in time.

For approximately 2,500 years, this tree has experienced countless seasons.

AION captures one of them.

The forthcoming harvest will bring the story of the tree into the present, creating an expression of its fruit from a particular moment in its continuing life.

The olives will be harvested and processed with the appropriate documentation, creating a traceable journey from tree to finished olive oil.

The harvest will form a documented chain:

TREE – HARVEST – EXTRACTION – OIL – AION

Laboratory analysis, milling documentation and batch information will be incorporated into the final provenance record once the harvest has taken place.

THE EDITION

Rarity With Meaning.
Not mass produced. Not endlessly repeated. Created as a defined moment.

AION is being conceived as an intentionally limited collection of only twenty individually numbered editions.

Each finished piece will be individually identified, creating a direct connection between the object and its provenance.

The purpose of limitation is not only scarcity.

It is to preserve the sense that each AION represents a particular tree, a particular harvest and a particular moment in time.

MORE THAN OLIVE OIL

An Object With a Beginning

AION is not conceived as a conventional bottle of premium olive oil, but as a limited collector creation whose story begins with a living tree approximately 2,500 years old.

AION brings together an idea that is simple, yet rarely experienced in this way.

A living tree.

An extraordinary age.

A harvest that exists only once.

Materials connected to its place of origin.

The hand of craftsmanship.

A finite collection.

And above all, a story that began approximately twenty-five centuries before the first AION was conceived.

A story of living legacy that extends beyond the object itself.

The oil will eventually be enjoyed.

But the story behind it is intended to remain.
